NEGATIVE THOUGHTS – How to Eliminate Them

How do you eliminate negative, self-defeating thoughts?

No matter where you go, there you are.

Trying to make you think negatively about yourself.

Telling you that you won't achieve what you want in life.

It doesn't matter what you do, those negative thoughts inside your head just stick around.

You struggle with them every day.

As soon as you wake up, the inner battle starts.

And it doesn't stop until you go to sleep.

It doesn't matter what you're doing, the thoughts are saying things like…

“Nothing works out for you.”

“That's a bad idea. You’re an idiot.”

“Don’t say out loud what you are thinking. They'll laugh at you”

Those thoughts continue to put a spotlight on themselves.

They stir and aggravate your emotions.

They keep you distracted and prevent you from focusing.

Maybe you've tried everything to eradicate those limiting thoughts.

And still, nothing.

Or, perhaps, you didn’t know you could!

They just keep on bothering you, taking all your motivation away.

Making you feel worthless and stressed.

But that's not all.

This constant battle within yourself is starting to affect your relationships with other people.

All that struggle keeps you very sensitive and defensive.

It keeps you in a state of tension.

You frequently feel confused and upset.

It's hard to even listen to what someone's telling you because these negative thoughts take away all of your attention.

You have begun to take things personally. Even the slightest comment makes you overreact.

Have you ever been in that position?

It's not a good place to be.

It is not impossible to get out of that habit.

Not at all impossible.

How?

FIRST: You need to give them a name. SECOND:  You must let them go.

See, you can't argue out negative thoughts from your mind.

When you do that, you give them more importance than they deserve.

And because they're important, they stick around.

Instead, just label the negative thoughts and, then, flush them down the toilet.

How do you do that?

First, identify the negative thought patterns that come your way.

When the “Don’t say out loud what you are thinking because they'll laugh at you” thought shows up, you mentally identify it and label it, e.g., “Here it is again, the ‘I’m a joke’ script.”

Quickly visualize “I’m a joke” [or whatever the script is that you have identified] printed on the side of a little paper sail boat, floating in the toilet.

Flush the toilet.

Then, FORGET about it. Meaning, never focus on that script again. Ever. If it pops up and sticks around, flush it again.

Why does this work so well?

Because when you call out your negative thoughts and label them, you put the smartest part of your brain, the frontal cortex, to work, RATHER THAN YOUR EMOTIONS.

When you do that, you get a greater perspective on the situation.

When you move it to the cognitive part of your brain, those negative thoughts can no longer automatically connect with your emotions.

Guess what happens?

They go away.

Honestly, your life will change if you start and continue to do this.

Gradually, you will develop a sense of calm and inner peace like never before.

Navigating through life will be so much more pleasant.

Whenever those negatives thoughts came your way, they will immediately disappear if you do not entertain them.

Just stick with the plan and you will see that one by one those negative patterns of thought will stop being a problem.

Your stress levels will plummet, because all those things that were holding you back, sowing darkness in your head, have drifted away.

Not by themselves. Take conscious credit for doing something so few will do.

And the more you practice this, the more adept at it you will become.

And your confidence will grow.

As will your success rate at whatever you choose to accomplish.

It is amazing.

YOU are amazing.
